Of course, your content has to be high quality and give value, but if done correctly, it shows that you're a real business, not a fly-by-night company who may take the person's money and run. 3 Reasons You Need To Be Writing Articles

1. Highly Shareable

Articles are the single most shared type of content on social media. In order to increase sharability on your site, make sure you have social buttons on each blog post or article. The easier something is to do, the more people will do it.

2. Facebook Visibility

Just recently, Facebook changed the way links are seen in Facebook. They used to be smaller than images when shown on the News Feed. That's all changed, and links and photos are given the same real estate. According to a study, link visibility is up 39% since Facebook has increased the size of preview images.

3. Searchable

Keyword data may be encrypted, but that doesn't mean your content isn't searchable anymore. The key here is to continue to write high quality content. The more you write, the more you'll be found. It's as simple as that.

I think written content is so powerful because our society is based on written information. Any idea you want to share with a large audience, you usually write it (or speak it in front of them). Plus it’s easier to search for this type of content. If we could identify keywords in the audio files probably video content would be the most popular.

While there is definitely a trend moving towards video, we will always need written word. It will continue to evolve as it always has. Thanks Alexandra!
